I would like to share with you my emotions about “The Catcher in the Rye”, which I started to read for our plessure reading in classes.

I choose this book because I was interested by its plot. The author touches such problems as love, loneliness, mistrust, relationship in a family and most of all he pays attention to problems, which are connected with growing up.

I’ve read only 50 pages but the plot has already touched me and it’s really interesting for me to watch how the main character will developing as a person.

Of course, it met my expectations because this book reflects all teen’s problems and the main character learns how to fight with them. This theme is close to me. We all go through such problems as misunderstanding, lie, betrayal and we learn from mistakes.

“Life is a game, boy. Life is a game that ones plays according to the rules.”

That’s what Mr. Spencer, a history teacher, said to Holden Coulfield. I understand it like life is a game, but you can become a person, who will create the rules. Everything depends on you.

The most memorable moment from me from 5 chapters is a story about Holden’s dead brother Allie. Holden tells that Allie was the brightest child he has ever known. He was very intelligent, polite and kind guy. In the night of his death Holden was frustrated. He broke the all windows in their garage and even wanted to break the windows in their car, but his hands were hurted too much. We can see how this event influenced on Holden because he didn’t want to trust in his brother’s death. He loved him so much and live took his brother away from him.
